Duterte urges Red Cross audit, threatens to cut ties

President Rodrigo Duterte has urged Senator Richard Gordon to submit the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) financial records for a thorough audit by the Commission on Audit (COA).

Duterte warned that he might cut ties with PRC if Gordon rejects his call.

In a taped briefing aired Saturday, Duterte also threatened to stop all government transactions with PRC and expressed frustration over Senate Blue Ribbon Committee hearings led by Gordon into pandemic-related procurement issues.
