Duterte backs Sinas: 'He stays until further orders'

President Duterte defended Police Major General Debold Sinas and stated that he will not be removed from his position despite facing criminal charges for allegedly violating quarantine protocols during a birthday celebration on May 8.

Duterte called Sinas 'a good officer' and 'an honest one', stating it was not Sinas's fault if colleagues serenaded him without proper masks.

Spokesperson Harry Roque added that Sinas remains under investigation by the justice system, emphasizing that Duterte understands the need for due process in criminal cases.
