Sinas' birthday bash sparks quarantine rule scrutiny

Police officials are under scrutiny for violating quarantine protocols during a birthday celebration.

National Capital Region Police Office chief Debold Sinas held a mañanita with dozens of officers on May 8, despite the ban on mass gatherings.

Photos from the event were posted and later deleted from NCRPO's Facebook page, sparking public outrage.

Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque said Sinas' case would serve as a test for enforcing quarantine rules equally.

Police Lieutenant General Guillermo Eleazar emphasized that law enforcers should lead by example, adhering to the law regardless of supervision.
