Manila Cathedral, Caritas Manila donate P13M to Odette-hit dioceses

The Manila Cathedral has donated P4 million to nine dioceses hit by Typhoon Odette, with donations collected through special collections amounting to P4.47 million as of December 24.

Caritas Manila, the social action arm of the Archdiocese of Manila, sent over P9 million in cash assistance to affected dioceses as of Thursday.

Specifically, Caritas Manila provided varying amounts to several dioceses including Surigao (P2 million), Cebu and Taytay (P1 million each), and others receiving smaller sums.

The aid is intended to support the social services ministry in charge of relief efforts for those affected by Typhoon Odette.
