Duterte to decide fate of Luzon quarantine on Thursday

President Rodrigo Duterte will decide on Thursday whether to extend, modify, or lift the Luzon-wide enhanced community quarantine after April 30.

Health experts recommended maintaining strict quarantine measures in areas with high COVID-19 cases such as NCR, Cebu City, Davao City, Calabarzon, and parts of Bulacan.

Duterte consulted medical experts who advised him on the potential consequences of lifting or relaxing restrictions, including the possibility of a second wave of infections.
