Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte has approved extending the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) in Albay province and Zamboanga City until May 15th, as part of a broader executive order to manage the spread of coronavirus disease (Covid-19).

{title2}: EO 112 was signed by President Duterte on April 30, approving the Inter-Agency Task Force's recommendation to impose ECQ in high-risk areas and GCQ in low-risk and moderate-risk areas nationwide from May 1st to May 15th. The order also grants authority to the IATF to directly impose, lift or extend ECQ in provinces, HUCs, and ICCs.

{title3}: Under EO 112, all government departments, agencies, instrumentalities, state colleges and universities, government-owned or -controlled corporations, government financial institutions, and LGUs are directed to render full assistance to and cooperation with each other and mobilize the necessary resources for ECQ and GCQ.
