Duterte urges solidarity in fighting COVID-19

President Rodrigo Duterte urged Filipinos to cooperate with the government in fighting the COVID-19 pandemic during his fifth State of the Nation Address.

Duterte emphasized that the country is facing a 'troubled time' and called for solidarity and unity, saying it was crucial to work together against the virus as they did against illegal drugs, criminality, insurgency, corruption, and entrenched parochial interests.

He stressed that no nation was spared from the pandemic's impact and encouraged Filipinos to care for one another during this challenging period.
