Duterte defends lack of COVID-19 recovery plan in SONA

President Rodrigo Duterte defended his decision not to detail a recovery plan in his State of the Nation Address (SONA) on Monday.

Duterte said he could not discuss a roadmap because the focus was on immediate medical needs and budget discussions.

Palace spokesperson Harry Roque dismissed criticisms, stating that critics probably did not hear the proposed measures mentioned during the SONA, such as the Corporate Recovery and Tax Incentives for Enterprises Act and the Bayanihan to Recover As One Act.
