President Duterte and DILG Support 'Balik Probinsiya' Program

President Duterte and DILG Secretary Eduardo Año support Senator Bong Go's 'Balik Probinsiya' program, which aims to relocate residents of Metro Manila back to their provinces after the COVID-19 crisis.

The program seeks to decongest urban areas like Metro Manila to prevent a future outbreak and boost rural development.

Under the plan, the government would provide free transportation and livelihood assistance for those willing to move out of Manila.
