DSWD to address challenges in Karding relief efforts

DSWD spokesperson Romel Lopez acknowledged Tuesday that there are challenges to their relief efforts due to Super Typhoon Karding but assured that these will be addressed, with assistance from other agencies.

As of Tuesday morning, DSWD is monitoring 122,725 individuals affected by the typhoon, and has 249,352 family food packs available for distribution in affected areas.

On Sunday, Sept. 25, DSWD Region IV-A reported that they have prepared more than 25,600 relief packs worth P41.5 million, including 13,882 family food packs and 11,737 family kits.
