DSWD seeks volunteers for family food pack production

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) is seeking additional volunteers to assist with the production of family food packs for disaster relief efforts, including aid for families affected by Mt. Kanlaon's volcanic activity in Negros Island.

Volunteers can help at the Visayas Disaster Resource Center (VDRC) in Mandaue City, Cebu, where they are required to maintain a daily output of at least 100,000 boxes of food packs and have already delivered over 42,400 FFPs to Region 6 and 11,800 to Region 7.

The DSWD's main repacking hub, the National Resource Operations Center (NROC) in Pasay City, is also open for volunteers who can contact Shara Lee at 0926-0612646 or Kevin Sanchez at 0976-4803953.

Volunteers are advised to wear comfortable clothes and closed shoes, bring water bottles, and provide their own food during the volunteering activities.
