DSWD distributes 23K food packs in Eastern Visayas, 5.1K in Antique

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) distributed 23,778 family food packs across 15 local government units in Eastern Visayas affected by Typhoon Odette on Tuesday.

In Southern Leyte, the distribution included Silago with 2,108 packs, Hinundayan with 2,100, and other towns receiving varying amounts up to 2,400 packs.

Leyte received a total of 3,570 food packs distributed in Dulag, Hilongos, and Tacloban City.

Additionally, DSWD released 5,179 family food packs to families affected by Typhoon Odette in Antique, benefiting towns such as Tobias Fornier, Libertad, Sibalom, Bugasong, Culasi, and Anini-y.

Each food pack contains six kilos of rice along with various canned goods and beverages.
