DSWD provides P3.5M assistance to Odette-hit areas

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has provided about P3.5 million worth of assistance to areas affected by Typhoon Odette in Caraga, Eastern and Western Visayas, and Mimaropa regions.

DSWD spokesperson Irene Dumlao said the agency has more than P900 million worth of available stockpiles and standby funds to aid those affected by the typhoon.

Dumlao reiterated that these resources are readily available for distribution as part of their resource augmentation mandate to local government units.
