DILG urges LGUs to fast-track social amelioration cards

On Wednesday, April 1, the DILG urged local government units to expedite the distribution of social amelioration cards and create a master list of qualified beneficiaries.

DILG Secretary Eduardo Año emphasized the need for quick assistance to those affected by the coronavirus pandemic, particularly the poor who are unable to work due to lockdown measures.

The DSWD has begun distributing social amelioration card forms to local authorities to aid in identifying and providing support to families in need.
