Iloilo: P43.5M aid to 43 LGUs in COVID fight

Iloilo Governor Arthur Defensor Jr. has approved P43.5 million in financial aid for the province's 43 local government units (LGUs) to combat COVID-19.

Each LGU will receive at least P1 million, with Guimbal receiving an additional P0.5 million as it reported the first confirmed case of COVID-19.

The funds are intended for purchasing personal protective equipment, thermal scanners, disinfectants, and other supplies necessary during the pandemic, as well as food packs for frontliners and relief goods for those affected by job displacement.
