DSWD readies P884-M funds, stockpiles for Rolly victims

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has P884 million worth of standby funds and stockpiles ready for distribution to assist those affected by Typhoon Rolly.

P263 million are standby funds frontloaded to DSWD field offices, while P579 million consists of food items pre-positioned at their offices.

The non-food items include tents, laminated sacks, hygiene kits, sleeping kits, and kitchen kits worth P279 million.

DSWD has activated its disaster response teams along the track of Typhoon Rolly to provide immediate assistance to local government units.
