DPWH to submit list of 10K flood control projects since 2022

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) will comply with President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.'s directive to submit a list of all flood control projects completed and ongoing since 2022.

DPWH Secretary Manuel Bonoan stated that the department is currently consolidating data from District Engineering Offices and Regional Offices, set for submission early next week.

Bonoan confirmed that close to 10,000 flood control projects have been completed nationwide under the Marcos administration since July 2022.

The DPWH chief emphasized transparency in addressing questionable flood control projects, promising to identify those that need rehabilitation and submit findings to the President.

Every DPWH project has a one-year warranty period, allowing for contractor involvement if issues arise within that timeframe.
