DOTr: Over 1K tried riding trains without vaccine proof

On Tuesday, the DOTr reported that over a thousand commuters attempted to ride Metro Manila's trains without proof of vaccination on the first day of full implementation of the 'no vaccination, no ride' policy.

The majority of passengers complied with the order, while 1,749 individuals tried boarding rail lines without showing their vaccination status; most were at MRT-3 (1,204), followed by LRT-1 (401) and LRT-2 (136).

Transportation agencies responsible for road enforcement reported that the first day was generally peaceful with enforcers explaining guidelines to commuters who were mostly cooperative.
