DOTr eyes vax sites at Cebu terminals, pharmacies

The Department of Transportation (DOTr) is planning to establish mobile vaccination sites at public transport terminals and pharmacies in Cebu, as part of efforts to protect the transportation sector against COVID-19.

A team comprising the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF)-Visayas, Department of Health-Central Visayas (DOH-7), and DOTr is working on ramping up inoculation of drivers, passengers, and their dependents.

The DOTr also plans to set up vaccination sites at train stations and ports nationwide, with four MRT-3 stations in Cubao, Shaw Boulevard, Boni, and Ayala being identified as potential locations.

These efforts aim to promote wider vaccine coverage among public transport workers and commuters.
