DOT advises tourism firms to stop ops in Taal danger zone

The Department of Tourism (DOT) on Wednesday advised tourism establishments in areas affected by Taal Volcano's activity to immediately cease operations due to the ongoing Alert Level 4 warning.

The DOT emphasized that the health and safety of workers and tourists should remain a priority as authorities have not downgraded the alert status.

Tourism businesses within the danger zone identified by Phivolcs were specifically advised to halt operations, with thousands of residents already evacuated to avoid potential hazards such as base surge and volcanic tsunami.
