Cebu hotels adopt strict protocols to prevent nCoV spread

Hotels and resorts in Cebu are implementing strict protocols to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus.

Guests entering hotels have their body temperature checked with thermal guns; those with fever are isolated and asked about travel history.

The Department of Tourism advises accommodation establishments to screen guests for symptoms and ask specific questions related to recent travel or contact with infected individuals.

If a guest answers yes to any of the DOT's questions, they must be considered as having 'probable nCoV' and should be brought to local health workers or government hospitals for monitoring.
