DOH: Vaccine info given on-site

The DOH assured the public on Thursday that information about coronavirus vaccines and the type of shot offered will be provided at vaccination sites.

Health Undersecretary Myrna Cabotaje suggested during a briefing on Wednesday that LGUs refrain from announcing vaccine brands in advance to avoid overcrowding, citing incidents where hundreds queued for Pfizer's vaccine.

The DOH stated that not disclosing vaccine brands ahead of time does not conflict with patients' right to informed consent, as several steps at the vaccination site ensure this.
