DOLE distributes PHP5K aid to 7K Region 1 workers

Some 7,048 workers in Region 1 have received financial support through DOLE's programs amid the COVID-19 crisis.

Formal sector employees receive PHP5,000 each under the CAMP program, while informal sector workers get PHP3,400 each under TUPAD.

DOLE offices will remain open during Holy Week to process applications and ensure speedy distribution of financial assistance.

Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles stated that DOLE field offices will continue processing establishment reports to hasten the release of cash aid worth P5,000 for displaced workers.

A total of 139,003 workers have already received the cash assistance as of Wednesday.
