DOLE suspends COVID-19 cash aid application, DOF rolls out wage subsidy

The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) suspended the acceptance of applications for its PHP1-billion COVID-19 Adjustment Measure Program (CAMP) on Wednesday.

Despite closing the application process, DOLE said over 85,000 workers will still receive the one-time PHP5,000 cash aid.

Since March 23, CAMP has provided assistance to 236,412 workers from 10,663 establishments with total disbursements of PHP1.2 billion.

DOLE suspended CAMP applications to make way for the Department of Finance's (DOF) P51-billion wage subsidy program targeting middle-income workers.
