DOLE ready to repatriate displaced OFWs, provides P10K cash aid

The DOLE is ready to repatriate overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) displaced due to the coronavirus pandemic.

DOLE's AKAP program provides $200 or P10,000 cash assistance to regular and documented OFWs, certain undocumented OFWs, and balik-manggagawa who could not return home because of the lockdown.

The agency will start processing financial aid after President Duterte approved PHP1.5 billion for the program.
