DOH warns against extra COVID-19 vaccine doses

DOH warns against getting more than the advised number of Covid-19 vaccine doses, stating it is dangerous.

Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire said vaccines are only in Phase 3 clinical trials and their long-term effects need monitoring.

Vergeire disclosed that some individuals have received four to six doses but no adverse events have been reported yet.

The DOH is closely monitoring these cases while emphasizing the importance of following approved guidelines.
