DOH studying booster shots as part of primary vax series

The DOH is studying the possibility of requiring a booster shot as part of the primary COVID-19 vaccination series.

Health Undersecretary Myrna Cabotaje stated that they are reviewing if boosters can be included in the primary series to enter workplaces.

Instead of redefining 'fully vaccinated', the DOH proposes adding the term 'up to date' for those who have received a booster dose, similar to CDC practices.

Health Secretary Francisco Duque III said the government's decision on this proposal may come out hopefully next week.
