DOH reports 421 new COVID-19 cases, active infections rise to 9,750

On Tuesday, the Department of Health (DOH) reported 421 new COVID-19 cases in the Philippines, bringing the total number of confirmed infections to 2,839,111.

Active cases increased to 9,750 with 489 asymptomatic, 3,766 mild, 374 critical, 1,778 severe, and 3,343 moderate cases.

The DOH noted that 410 of the new cases occurred within the last two weeks, primarily in Metro Manila (41%), Calabarzon (13%), and Central Luzon (10%).

Two deaths were recorded from September due to late encoding, bringing the total death toll to 51,213.

Additionally, 248 more patients recovered, increasing the recovery count to 2,778,148.
