PH aims to fully vaccinate 54M by year-end

The Philippine government remains optimistic about achieving its goal of fully vaccinating 54 million individuals against COVID-19 before the end of 2021, despite challenges posed by Typhoon Odette.

Vaccine czar Carlito Galvez Jr. stated that the use of single-shot Janssen vaccines and second dose administration will help meet this target.

However, over 1,644 vaccination sites were closed due to Typhoon Odette, affecting urban centers like Cebu and Iloilo, which may impact daily vaccinations.
