DOH stops daily social media updates for COVID-19 cases starting Jan 1

The Department of Health (DOH) will no longer post daily COVID-19 case bulletins on social media starting January 1, 2022.

Instead, the DOH will provide more qualitative and situational reports on its website, which will be updated every day at 4 pm.

Health Secretary Francisco Duque III assured that all data will still be available on the DOH's website and not removed.

DOH Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire clarified that this change aims to better guide the public regarding the COVID-19 situation.
