DOH records 855 new COVID-19 cases; active tally drops

On Tuesday, May 30, the DOH recorded 855 new COVID-19 cases, marking the first time since May 3 that daily cases fell below 1,000.

The active case tally dropped to 14,742 from 15,621 on Monday, which is the lowest in 19 days.

In the past two weeks, the National Capital Region reported the highest number of cases at 7,800, followed by Calabarzon with 5,026, Central Luzon with 2,342, Western Visayas with 1,620, and Bicol region with 861.

Recoveries increased by 1,734 to a total of 4,060,327 while the death toll remained at 66,466 with no new deaths reported.
