DOH: PH logs 365 new COVID-19 cases, active infections drop

The Philippines recorded 365 new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday, bringing the total caseload to 3,683,732.

Active infections decreased to 17,863, the lowest since January 1.

Recoveries increased to 3,605,879 while the death toll rose to 59,990.

The National Capital Region had the highest number of cases in the past two weeks with 1,105 followed by Calabarzon and Central Luzon.

The country's bed occupancy rate increased slightly to 17.3% from 16%.

On Tuesday, the Philippines reported a record low of 158 new cases this year, bringing active infections down to 18,815.

From April 11-17, there were 1,674 new cases, marking a 12% decrease from the previous week with an average daily case count of 239.

On Sunday, the country recorded its lowest daily tally in four months at 195 cases.
