DOH: Increase in COVID-19 cases in 14 Alert Level 1 areas not cause for concern

The Department of Health (DOH) reported an increase in COVID-19 cases in 14 Alert Level 1 areas but said it is not a cause for concern.

Health Secretary Francisco Duque III noted the highest increases were seen in NCR, Region 4A, and Region 3 with 606, 226, and 181 new cases respectively.

OCTA Research Group fellow Dr. Guido David said these upticks may be temporary but analysis could change based on additional data over the next week.
