Galvez: Economy can fully reopen once half vaccinated

Vaccine czar Carlito Galvez says the Philippines can fully reopen its economy once half of its population is vaccinated.

Galvez cited examples from Israel, the UK, and the US where a decrease in COVID-19 cases followed vaccination of 30% of their populations, leading to eased restrictions.

He noted that when 50% of the population is vaccinated, full economic reopening can occur.

Despite this, Galvez remains optimistic about vaccinating 70% of the country's population by year-end.
