Philippines to receive 11M vaccine doses in June

The Philippines will receive a total of 11 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines in June from various pharmaceutical companies.

On Thursday, the country is set to welcome one million Sinovac doses and over two million Pfizer-BioNTech doses donated by COVAX facility.

As of June 8, around six million Filipinos have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, with over 1.5 million fully vaccinated.

OCTA Research fellow Ranjit Rye stated that significant changes to the country's COVID-19 trends will not be observed until 30% to 50% of the population is vaccinated.
