Putin vows more Sputnik V deliveries to PH

Russian President Vladimir Putin promised during a telesummit with Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte to increase deliveries of Sputnik V vaccines.

The Philippines has received only 80,000 doses so far, falling short of the initial expectation of 480,000 doses by late April.

Putin also offered support for Philippine agricultural products, transportation infrastructure projects, renewable energy facilities, and military equipment.

Duterte thanked Putin for access to vaccines but emphasized the need for expedient delivery of ordered doses.
