DOH: LGUs can vaccinate indigents if enough supply

The Department of Health (DOH) stated on Monday that local government units can vaccinate indigent Filipinos, who are part of the fifth priority group (A5), if they have sufficient vaccine supplies.

Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire said during a press briefing that this is allowed but depends on supply availability.

Vergeire also noted that while COVAX vaccines can be used for indigent Filipinos, strategic planning is necessary due to the current scarcity of supplies.
