DOH warns against false info on Omicron XBB symptoms

The Department of Health (DOH) warned on Wednesday against false information circulating about symptoms of the Omicron XBB subvariant.

The DOH stated that a recent message falsely attributed to a department memorandum is inaccurate and was issued to intensify surveillance due to rising cases abroad.

The agency reminded the public that COVID-19 typically exhibits flu-like symptoms such as fever, cough, fatigue, loss of taste or smell, sore throat, headache, body pain, and diarrhea.

For proper diagnosis, the DOH urged the public to consult a physician or visit the nearest health facility.
