DOH: NCR cases haven't peaked yet

The Department of Health (DOH) stated on Saturday that the number of active COVID-19 cases in Metro Manila has not yet peaked.

Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire noted that while there were almost 8,000 infections recorded in one day last week, the numbers have fluctuated between 5,000 to 5,800 recently.

Vergeire emphasized that a peak would be followed by a consistent downward trend, but the current data shows inconsistency.
