DOH logs 963 new COVID-19 cases; active infections drop

The Department of Health (DOH) recorded 963 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, October 25, significantly lower than the previous week's average of 1,714 daily cases.

Active infections decreased to 21,924 from 23,369 reported on Sunday, October 23.

The total number of confirmed cases in the Philippines is now at 3,996,818 with recoveries reaching 3,911,048 and deaths totaling 63,846.

DOH noted that Tuesday's low case count reflects Sunday's typically lower testing numbers.

Metro Manila continues to lead in cases over the past two weeks, followed by Calabarzon and Central Luzon.
