DOH logs 775 new COVID-19 cases, active tally drops

On Wednesday, the DOH reported 775 new COVID-19 cases and a decrease in active infections to 18,689.

This marks two consecutive days with fewer than 1,000 daily cases.

The national caseload now stands at 4,005,840, while recoveries have increased to 3,923,006 and the death toll is at 64,145.

NCR had the most recent cases with 4,679, followed by Calabarzon, Western Visayas, Central Luzon, and Davao Region.

The previous Sunday saw 1,370 new cases, bringing active cases to 20,824 from a high of over 25,000 in recent weeks.
