OCTA: PH daily COVID cases may drop to less than 500 by end-November

The number of daily COVID-19 cases in the Philippines may drop to less than 500 by the end of November if current trends continue.

OCTA Research Group fellow Dr. Guido David noted that Metro Manila's positivity rate is at 8.9%, with a seven-day case average of 210 per day, the lowest since July.

David added that NCR's reproduction number has declined to 0.68 and its growth rate is -38%, indicating a significant decrease in infections.

The Philippines' overall seven-day COVID-19 case average is around 907 cases per day with a -30% growth rate, suggesting an optimistic outlook for the holiday season.
