DOH logs 626 new COVID cases, active tally drops to 17,263

The Department of Health (DOH) recorded 626 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, bringing the total nationwide caseload to 4,057,629.

Active cases dropped to 17,263 from 17,593 on Monday.

Recoveries increased to 3,975,239 and deaths rose to 65,127.

The National Capital Region (NCR) had the most cases in the past two weeks with 5,615, followed by Calabarzon with 2,395.

As of Sunday, December 18, at least 6,033 beds were occupied and 21,920 were vacant, resulting in a bed occupancy rate of 21.6%.
