DOH logs 2,510 new COVID-19 infections, daily average drops nine percent

The Department of Health (DOH) recorded 2,510 new COVID-19 infections from July 3 to July 9, marking a nine percent decrease compared to the previous week.

The daily average dropped to 359 cases, with 44 severe or critical cases reported, down from 442 in the prior week.

No deaths were recorded during this period, and ICU bed utilization decreased to 12.3%, while non-ICU beds saw a slight increase to 17.4% utilization.

The DOH also noted that there are currently 6,606 active cases nationwide.
