DOH detects 814 new Omicron subvariant cases

The Department of Health detected 814 new cases of Omicron subvariants from June 30 to July 7.

Of the total samples sequenced, 785 were classified as XBB subvariants including various lineages such as XBB.2.3 (254), XBB.1.16 (206), and others.

Twenty cases were BA.2.3.20, while one each was BA.2.75 and XBC, with seven other Omicron sublineages also identified.
