There were also 77 new deaths reported, bringing the total death toll to 55,684. Of these, 66 percent occurred in February 2022, 26 percent in January 2022, with a small number in October and September due to late encoding of data.

About 8.8% of the 28,500 who were tested on February 18 turned out positive for coronavirus.
