CDO monitors 121 Omicron close contacts

Cagayan de Oro City is monitoring 121 close contacts of recent Omicron cases.

As of now, none of these close contacts are experiencing Acute Respiratory Illnesses or Influenza-Like Illnesses.

Mayor Oscar Moreno emphasized the importance of continued monitoring despite it being over a month since initial infections.

The city reported 32 confirmed Omicron cases in January, contributing to the post-holiday surge in COVID-19 cases.

Of these 32 cases, 29 have recovered and three are awaiting official release orders from DOH.
