DOH Launches Intensified Vaccination Campaigns Amid Rising Cases

The Department of Health (DOH) has launched intensified vaccination campaigns in various regions to boost booster shot uptake amid a slight rise in Covid-19 cases.

In the Ilocos Region, DOH targets 1.7 million residents for booster shots by October 8th, aiming for 50% of the population aged 12 and above to receive at least one dose.

The DOH has chosen Zamboanga City as the launch site for its 'PinasLakas' campaign, which aims to administer booster doses to at least half of eligible populations in the country within President Marcos Jr.'s first 100 days.

In the Ilocos Region and other areas, local officials are improving vaccine accessibility by bringing shots to various locations like terminals, plazas, and schools to reach more people.
