DOH: 7K vaccinated on election day

At least 7,407 individuals were vaccinated against Covid-19 on election day at 333 pop-up vaccination sites set up by the DOH and local government units.

These sites aimed to make vaccines more accessible to the public near voting centers.

DOH Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire reported that around 76 percent of the eligible population has been fully vaccinated as of May 9, with over 68 million people fully vaccinated in total.

Vergeire also noted violations of social distancing during the elections.
