PH logs 159 new COVID-19 cases, active infections drop

The Philippines logged 159 new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday, bringing the total number of infections to 3,686,375.

Active cases decreased to 4,692 from 5,145 reported on Tuesday.

Recoveries increased to 3,621,244 while the death toll rose to 60,439.

The National Capital Region had the most cases in the past two weeks with 978 infections, followed by Regions 4-A and 3.

Testing labs reported a total of 16,889 individuals tested on May 3.
